The last time I saw Phil was in 1974. We were attending Texas Tech. One day I stepped out of the duplex where I was living and and walking past was Phil. I think he was as surprised to see me as I was to see him. We chatted for a few minutes and then we went on about our business. He was always nice to me and I am saddened to learn of his passing.
